Jeremy "Woody" Gregory Wood, 16, of Freeport, FL, passed away Aug. 10, 2006, at his residence. He was born Feb. 21, 1990 in Opelika, AL.
Wood had been a resident of Walton County for the past two years moving from Alabaster, AL. He was Baptist by faith and attended the First Baptist Church of Liberty, in Liberty, FL. He had attended the Marion Military Institute in Marion, AL. He was presently a student of Freeport High School. He enjoyed all sports, having played baseball, football, lifting weights and riding his four wheeler. He loved being with his friends and family. He enjoyed life to the fullest, and he never met a stranger, always willing to help his friends, or anyone in need.
Wood is survived by his father and mother, Greg and Pam Wood of Freeport; paternal grandparents, James and Alice Wood, of Gaskin, FL; step-brother, Adrian "A.J." Henderson, of West Virginia; sister, Alison Faith Wood, of Freeport; also survived by numerous cousins, in Las Vegas, NV, and also aunts, uncles and cousins locally.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Reverends Joel Glenn and Dr. Less Hughes officiating.
Burial followed in Limestone Cemetery.
