NEW HAVEN - Nicholas ‘‘Jeep’’ Ferrara, 67, of Forbes Ave. died Thursday in Connecticut Hospice, Branford, after a brief illness. Mr . Ferrara was born Sept. 2, 1930, in New Haven, a son of the late Nicolo and Maria Franco Ferrara. He worked in the maintenance department of the former New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad for 13 years. He was a member of the Columbia Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Ferrara is survived by daughters, Maria Ferrara of New Haven and Tina Ferrara, in Maine; sons, Nicholas Jr., Michael, John and Brian Ferrara, all in Maine; sisters, Katherine Perrotti of Woodbridge and Mafalda ‘‘Mae’’ Grestini of Hamden; and his friend, Angela Ventura of New Haven, with whom he resided.
