David R. Salazar, age 55, loving father, grandfather and brother, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.
David was born on February 29, 1960 in Las Vegas, NM to Ruben and Donicia Salazar.
David enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed hunting, fishing and caring for his animals.
David is survived by his sons, John David Salazar and his girlfriend, Miranda Vigil and Gabriel Salazar and his girlfriend, Kristen Encinia, his daughter, Felicia Romo and her boyfriend, Gene Esquíbel, brothers, Ruben Salazar and his spouse, Ida Sena, Casey Jaramillo and his wife, Florinda, sister, Linda Purdy and her husband, Bob, brother-in-law, Richard Peralta all of Las Vegas, NM, grandchildren, Felix, Logan, Shyanne, Alleyah and Baby Salazar, aunts, Cecilia Montaño and Cecilia Jaramillo from Las Vegas, NM, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Donicia Salazar and sister, Angela Salazar.
Rosary services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Father C. John Brasher will celebrate the Mass. The interment will follow in the Nuestra Señora del Refugio Cemetery in Los Vigiles, NM. Serving as casket bearers will be Ruben Salazar, Abran Salazar, Casey Jaramillo Jr., Polito Jaramillo, Tony Montoya and Wayne Peralta. Honorary bearers will be Ermenio Castillo, Joseph Crespín, Daniel Salazar, Max Salazar and Mike Salazar.
