Daryl Wayne Bailey was born Nov. 19, 1953, to David Anthony and Enola Bailey in Oklahoma City. He departed this life Oct. 29, 2015, at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 10 days.

On March 17, 1978, Daryl Bailey and Cindy Shepherd were married for all time and eternity. From this union were born three sons, Jeremy, Sean and Ryan.

He had been a Bristow area resident for the last 32 years, moving here from Houston, Texas. He worked for USA Steel Company as a district manager.

He was a previous Bishop of the Sapulpa and Bristow wards of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He also served a two year mission in the Fresno, Calif. mission.

He coached little league baseball for 12 years and served as league president for eight years. He was always very involved with his sons’ events; when he was traveling he would call Cindy to inquire about them. He was a loving husband, father and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Bailey of Bristow; three sons, Jeremy Bailey and wife Melanie, Sean Bailey and wife Jordan, all of Edmond, and Ryan Bailey and wife Claire of Nashville, Tenn.; father, David Anthony Bailey and wife Becky of Yukon; two sisters, Theresa Meglasson of Flint Creek and Rene’ Kreger and husband Richard of Friendswood, Texas; grandchildren, David, Alex, Liam, Logan, Addison, and Brooklyn; Aunt, Dorothy Eagan and lots of goats, chickens, three giant dogs and thousands of honey bees.

He was preceded in death by his mother. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at the Sapulpa Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Interment followed at the Bristow City Cemetery.
