Katie Mae Honea Hand, 67, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Richard Hendrix officiating. Burial will be at Taylor Cemetery. Mrs. Hand was a lifelong resident of Madison County and was a member of Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Burke of Harvest and Renee Osmer of Owens Cross Roads; three sons, Jimmy Murphy, Ray Murphy and Marcus Winkles, all of Huntsville; one brother, James Arnold Honea of Serrit and 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
