Obituary:
DUNN -- Dr. O. Talmadge Spence, 74, of 1402 Lakeshore Dr., Dunn, died Monday afternoon in his home. Dr. Spence was the founder and first president of Foundations Bible College as well as the first pastor of Foundations Bible Collegiate Church for 25 years until his resignation due to ill health in August of 1999.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Whitefield Sanctuary of Anvile House on the campus of Foundations Bible College. The Rev. Michael Riley of Lilburn, GA, will officiate. Also assisting will be Dr. Lawrence Jackson of Glen Burnie, MD, Dr. Peter Ng of Singpore, and Dr. C. Bruce Peacock of Rocky Mount, NC. Burial will follow in the Paracleft Park on the college campus.The family will receive friends in the Whitefield Sanctuary of Anvil House from 6:30 to 9:00 on Friday evening.
