Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Valerie Cole was born on August 6, 1953 in Jackson, TN to the late Christiana Jones and Booker Troy Fisher. She was a graduate of Jackson Central Merry High School and Jackson State Community College. She also attended Memphis State University.Mrs. Valerie Cole was employed with Town and Country Relators for almost thirty years, during that time, she served on many Professional Boards and committees for the City of Jackson.Mrs. Cole died Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Jackson General Hospital.She is survived by her loving husband, Willie David Cole; two daughters, Christen (Jason) Barron and Davian Cole; her siblings, Shirley (KY) Fisher, Theda Fisher, Pekeetia Hall, Rosaleen Fisher, Fatina Fisher, Shuron Fisher, Glenda Fisher Spears and Troy Fisher; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.Visitation for Mrs. Cole will begin Friday afternoon from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Mercer Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Mrs. Cole will lie-in-state at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.Mercer Brothers Funeral Home, 731-423-4922.
