Nicholas S. Doyle, 14, of Shepherd died Sunday, February 9, 1997, at his home after an eight-and-a-half year battle with bone cancer.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Westlawn Church of Christ in Shepherd with Pastor Max Raushenberger officiating. Burial will be in Chippewa Township Cemetery.
Nicholas was born June 6, 1982 in Alma to Edward and Tracy (Rauschenberger) Doyle.
He enjoyed hunting, swimming and collecting toy John Deere tractors and playing video games with his friends. He also loved pizza and was an avid fan of University of Michigan sports teams. He attended Shepherd Middle School and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 700.
He is survived by his parents, Edward and Tracy Doyle of Shepherd; brother, Joseph Doyle, at home; two sisters, Stephanie and Samantha Doyle, both at home; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Doyle of Shepherd; maternal grandparents, Donald and Marjorie Rauschenberger of Harrison;. maternal great-grandfather, Wilson (Ila) Seeley of Elwell and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Doyle; paternal great-grandmother, Blanche Doyle, and maternal great-grandmother, Beatrice Seeley.
