Joyce Elaine McAllister, 77, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at her home.

She was born on September 24, 1938, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Charles Edwin Arn and Evelyn (Matern) Handshy. She married James McAllister and he preceded her in death in 1985.

Joyce retired from Hubbard Milling Co. after working there for many years. She also was a waitress at Vic's Pizza for many years. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Springfield, was in a Bunco club, and was an Avon representative for many years.

She is survived by three children, Mark, Greg and Lisa ; four grandchildren, ; many step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Leona , Shirley Charlene and Robert

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Kristina McAllister, and a sister, Doris
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
