Curtis Lee Barber, age 79, of Lake City, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born on December 10, 1935 to the late Jack and Bessie Hawkins Barber in Anderson County, Tennessee. Curtis was of the Baptist faith. He worked for the University of Tennessee at the Oak Ridge Arboretum and later retired from the State Highway Department. Curtis enjoyed working outside and gardening. He was a member of the Briceville Masonic Crystal Lodge #616. Curtis will be dearly missed by all. In addition to his parents Curtis is preceded in death by sisters Ruby Wilson, Helen Sharp, Patsy Burris and Pauline Harmon; brothers Tommy Barber, and Johnny Harmon.
