HALTOM CITY — Conrad H Roberts Jr 83, a retired flight inspector with Bell Helicopter, passed away Saturday, Oct 11, 2003, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., with the Rev. Dwaine Greene and Dr. Randy Rudisell officiating. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Conrad was born in Prairie Hill on April 18, 1920. He graduated from Dallas Tech High School in 1939. He was a captain in the Army Air Corps U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He married Evelyn Sutton on June 3, 1950. He received his degree from Baylor University in December 1950. He was a longtime member of Birdville Baptist Church and served 18 years with the nursing home ministry after his medical retirement from Bell Helicopter in 1969. He also served six years as president of the retirees at UAW Local 218. Conrad was preceded in death by his parents, C. H. and Clara Roberts, and sister, Edna Jane Schanz.
