Mrs. Novotny was born Sept. 28, 1901, in Breckenridge to the late Alex and Maud (McAllister) Tryba. She had been a resident of St. Cloud for the past 24 years and was a member of the foster grandparent program at St. Cloud Children's Home.
Survivors include daughter and sons, Mrs. Ken (Lorraine) Bjorke, Battle Lake; Richard, Minneota; Warren, Madison, Wis.; brother and sisters, Edmund, Birmingham, Ala; Mrs. Ann Hassler, Mrs. Mary Froelich, Mrs. Ing (Louise) Paulson and Mrs. Paul (Martha) Rhodes, Minneapolis; Mrs. Marse (Marcia) Datzman, Tracy, Calif.; Mrs. Albert (Loretta) Nennig, Breckenridge; Mrs. Ed (Joan) Klein and Mrs. Florence Batterberry, St. Cloud; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in January 1962 and three brothers.
