Mary Jane Wilson Venturini, 89, formerly of Cambridge and Charlestown, has passed away on Sunday morning, February 12, 2012 in Woburn, MA at the Lahey Clinic.

She was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia to the late John H and Ada A McKay Wilson. The family moved to Charlestown, MA when Mary was young, where she grew up. A proud veteran of World War II, Mary served in the US Navy, stationed in Washington, DC.

Following her marriage, she and her husband lived in Cambridge, MA for many years, where they raised their family and eight years ago she took up residence in Woburn, MA to be near her daughter.

Mary was an avid football fan who especially loved watching the Patriots, and loved to bargain-shop. A great cook, she was happiest when cooking a big meal for her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles; her son, Michael Venturini; and daughter, Janet Chambers.

She was the devoted mother of Charlene Venturini of Oldsmar, FL, Gina Venturini Kennedy and her husband Robert Kennedy of Woburn.

She was the loving grandmother of Jacquelyn Chambers, Robert Chambers Jr, and Olivia Johnson and her mother Brandy of Iowa, and great-grandmother of Brianna Chambers.

Funeral from the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St, Woburn on Friday, Feb 17 at 9:30am. Funeral Mass will be in St Charles Church, 280 Main St, Woburn at 10am. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday morning from 8:00-9:30am. Interment in the Soldier's Lot at Woodbrook Cemetery.
