John H. Donnell, 87, of Pontiac, IL passed away at 11:22 pm on Monday, November 2, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

Private family graveside services will be held at South Side Cemetery in Pontiac. According to his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Livingston County Community Food Pantry. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac is handling arrangements for the family.

John was born August 2, 1928 in Pontiac, IL a son of Percy Hiram and Beuna Bernice (Hutson) Donnell. He married Jean Carol Ehrhardt on September 3, 1949 in Pontiac, IL. She survives.

John was educated in the Pontiac schools graduating from Pontiac Township High School. He then went on to Bradley University in Peoria, before coming back to Pontiac to work at Donnell’s Printing, with his father Percy and he continued there for over forty years.
