In loving memory of our son, brother, friend, & U.S. Marine It is hard to believe a year has passed since you were taken from us. It really seems like it just happened yesterday. Everyday I remember looking out the window and seeing two Marines approaching our house. I had just talked to you the day before and you sounded so good. Having just survived the suicide bombing and building collapse from three weeks before and the loss of four Marines, you had recovered and were ready to go again. How could there be two Marines at the door? But it was true. Only 14 hours after we talked, your LAV hit an IED buried under the ground. They say it was a huge explosion. I always knew we would be welcoming you home with all the other Marines at the end of your deployment, but you went home early. If you could only tell us what Heaven is like, we'd all be beating down the door to get there. As usual, you're one up on us. But, that is just like you, always fast, adventurous and the first to get there. We know you are doing just fine now and it is those of us left here without you, who feel such sadness. We miss you so much, your smile, sense of humor, kind and generous heart and your daring spirit. Your friends, your family, and your "brothers" will never let you be forgotten. We are so proud of you and honored to have been a part of your life. We'll be seeing you. Love, Mom
