Reba C. Cook, 79 of Ravenna, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 at her residence. She was born October 29, 1936 to the late Robert D. and Margaret (Mason) Fairchild. She was formerly of Uniontown , moving to Ravenna in 1975 where she became a very active person in the Ravenna Community. Reba had her own business, the RC Cook Insurance Company, was a member of Grace Episcopal Church being a past member of the Vestry Committee serving as junior and senior warden. Her various memberships included the Ravenna Rotary, where she served on every office, was Rotarian of the year several times, most recently 2014-2015 and a Paul Harris Fellowship award winner and was a past Royal Knight of the Ravenna Elks BPOE 1076. She served for 12 years on the Ravenna School Board, doing just about everything she could for the schools, was past president for the school board, past president for the Ravenna Band Patrons, a member of the Maplewood Board of Education and also a member of the Historical Design Review Board. She really enjoyed traveling, her trips to casinos and especially spending time with her grandkids. One of her happiest and proudest moments was in 2011 when she was selected to be Grand Marshall of the Ravenna Balloon Affair.

Reba is survived by her sons Rodney (JoAnn) Cook of Medina, Rick (Lori) Cook of Ravenna, her grandchildren Jacque Cook, Michael Cook , A.J. Cook and siblings Juanita Chittock and Dori Lickwar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald A. Cook on July 3, 1985, her siblings John and Lloyd Fairchild, Kathi Navarre, Margaret Carr, Sally and Sue Fairchild.

Calling hours will be Friday, November 6, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Episcopal Church in Ravenna with Rev. Carol Evans Officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ronald in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her honor the Ravenna Rotary Scholarship Fund, PO Box 9, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
