He was born in Logan County, Kentucky on August 5, 1951 to the late Waymond Blakey Sr and Pauline Elizabeth Tisdale Blakey. He is a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Auburn and was a Farmer. He is preceded in death by his Brothers-Robert and Waymond Blakey Jr. and Sisters-Lois Blakey and Judith Blakey. He is survived by his
Wife of 17 years Mary Blakey, Two Sons David Reed of Indiana and Christopher Blakey of Russellville, Daughter Kim Reed of Indiana, Step Sons Marcus Lawrence and William Beasley of Bowling Green and Step Daughter Virgie Beasley of Bowling Green, four brothers Barry Blakey of Bowling Green, Tony Blakey of Edmonton, Johnny Blakey of Russellville and Joe Blakey of Indianapolis two Sisters Martha Blakey of Auburn and Betty Pike of Bowling Green, five Grandchildren and seven Step Grandchildren.
Funeral Services for David Harrell Blakey will be conducted Saturday November 7, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Macedonia Baptist Church in Auburn with Bro. Michael Rice officiating and burial to follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Macedonia Baptist Church and Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time. Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
