Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at the SPICER-MJLLIKIN FUNERAL HOME, Twenty-fourth and Market Streets, on Monday morning, March 20, at 11 o'clock. Interment at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening after 7 o'clock. Washington Lodge #1 A. F. & A. M. will conduct Masonic services at 7:30 Sunday evening. Services will be held at 11 a. m. Monday at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, Twenty-fourth and Market Streets, for Clinton D. Edwards, 74, of Kennett Pike, near Fairville.
He died yesterday in The Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Howell O. Wilkins, pastor of Hillcrest Memorial Methodist Church, will officiate. Washington Lodge will hold Masonic services tomorrow at 7:30 p. m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Edwards retired four years ago as an engineer at the A. I. Du Pont Memorial Institute. He was born in Berwick, Pa., and formerly lived at 1712 North Broom Street. Three years ago he moved to the Kennett Pike address. He served in the Army in World War I. He was in the 59th Pioneer Infantry Regiment of Delaware.
Mr. Edwards was a member of Washington Lodge No. 1, A.F.&A.M., the Delaware Consistory, St. John's Commandery KT, St. John's Chapter No. 4, R. A. M., Nur Temple, the Shrine Club of Delaware and the Pugh Lenderman Chalfonte Post No,. 2907, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his widow, Alphie McBride Edwards, and a sister, Miss Esther Edwards of Philadelphia.
