Born June 30, 1943, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., he was a son of the late John P. and Mary Elizabeth (Chromas) Tosh. Michael was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, class of 1961, and served with the Air Force in Hyannis Port, Mass., for four years. Until his retirement, he was an optical technician for Luzerne Optical for more than 20 years. Michael was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish and American Legion Post 609, Lee Park.
His brother, Jack, died in 1997. Surviving are his sister, Gayle, and her husband, Daniel Maisano, of Wilkes-Barre; nephew Brian P. Tosh of San Mateo, Calif.; nieces Maureen E. Kaschak of Tallahassee, Fla.; Sara E. Maisano of Wilkes-Barre; several aunts, uncles and cousins
Funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from M.J. McLaughlin Company 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
