Carmen Jordan, 89, of Connellsville, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Hillside Manor, Uniontown. He was born April 24, 1926 in Connellsville, the son of Joseph and Theresa (Galderisi) Jordan. Carmen was a member of St. Rita RC Church and an active member of the American Legion Post 301, Connellsville, and AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood. Before his retirement, Carmen was the last surviving brother of the Jordan Brothers Excavating Co., a staple of Connellsville business for 40 years. At the top of his long list of past times, was tending to the Geraniums at St. Rita RC Church. Carmen is survived by his sister, Bette Wohlgemuth of Uniontown, a niece Linda (Jordan) Kolp and husband Edward, of Hopwood, a great-nephew, Joseph Kolp of Hopwood, great-niece, Kaila Kolp and son Liam Smith, of Cincinati, OH, niece Monica Mitchell and husband Jason Mitchell and their son Kole, Christian and Alexander of Brownfield, and many more nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Carmen was predeceased by four sisters; Immaculate Jordan, Julia Renzi, Millie Jordan, and Mary Geyer, six brothers; Raphael Jordan, James Jordan, Joseph Jordan Jr., Daniel Jordan, Ralph Jordan, and Michael Jordan. Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME 123 S. 1st St. West Side, Connellsville (724) 628-9033 on Fri. from 3-7PM. A Blessing Service will be held Sat. at 9:15AM in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30AM in St. Rita RC Church with Fr. Bob Lubic as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Rita Cemetery. Military services will be accorded at graveside by members of American Legion Posts 301, and 762, and VWF Post 21.
