RICHFIELD/SALT LAKE - Ruth Lutz Bartlett Sylvester, 92, of Richfield, died May 30, 1992 at her home in Richfield.

Born December 15, 1899 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Claude W. and Maude M. Peddycoard Lutz. She lived in Marion, Iowa from 1904-1921. Married Howard C. Bartlett, October 29, 1921 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He passed away August 13, 1954. She married Herman Sylvester, March 27, 1957 in Richfield, Utah. He passed away February 22, 1982. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Past President of the World War I Auxilliary in Sevier County. Member of the Richfield Study Club.

Survived by three daughters: Elaine B. Nelson, Jane and her husband, Melvin Gustaveson, and JoAnn Berg, all of Salt Lake; step son, Robert H. and his wife, Helen Sylvester, Richfield. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, and seven step grandchildren, 16 great-grandchlidren, several great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, her husband, an infant son, Howard Jr., four brothers, Arch, Roy, Claude, and Walter Bruce, a sister, Maxine Galbraith.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 11 a.m. in the Neil S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Chapel, in Richfield, where friends may call Monday evening 7-9 and Tuesday morning 9:30-10:45. Burial, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1300 East 500 So., 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
