Ruby Freeman Sorensen, 100, died June 5, 1991 at her home.

Born November 7, 1890, Pleasant Grove, Utah, to William H. and Mary Ann Winters Freeman. Married Roscoe D. Sorensen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March 27, 1913. He died September 21, 1972. Ruby was a member of the LDS Church, serving twice as Primary president and twice as Relief Society president; she also taught in the Relief Society, Sunday School, Primary, and MIA. She was a member of the Sharp Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

She is survived by children, Roscoe F., Hawaii; Jason B., Arizona; Keith H., Salt Lake City; Mrs. Elias (June) Castle, Orem; Mrs. Ben (Marjorie) Redman, Midvale; Mrs. Orin (Dorothy) Van Valkenburg, Toquerville; 23 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Elswood, Lyda Kirk, and Ruth Recourt.

Funeral services Monday, June 10, 1991, 12 noon, in the Midvale East 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 240 East 7570 South, where friends may call Monday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Burial, Larkin Sunset Gardens. Goff Mortuary, funeral directors.
