Wayne McGuire, 69, died unexpectedly on Oct. 20.
He was born in Alliance, Neb.
He served in the Army, where he got his training as an aircraft mechanic. He then worked the next 40 years for the airlines -- Frontier, Continental, UPS and Mountain Aviation.
He loved history, aviation and the outdoors. He was a talented woodworker, carver and understood everything mechanical.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Karen McGuire; daughter, Dawn Hoffman; son-in-law Bob Hoffman; two brothers, Ron and Gary McGuire, of Nebraska, nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service was Monday at Rundus Funeral Home.
Interment was in Loveland.
