Margaret Brox Foote passed from this life on July 30, 2006 in St. George Utah, surrounded by loved ones just 3 days after celebrating her 89th birthday with her children. She was born July 27, 1917 in Manti, Utah to Margaret Jepson and Gustave Adolph Brox. She had one sister, Dorothy Lund, who preceded her in death. She married Cyril Warren Foote on February 3, 1937 and was later sealed in the Manti Temple.Margaret was a member of the LDS and served in many capacities. She and her husband served in the Provo Temple.Margaret had many hobbies which all included things for others. She loved to crochet and did it perfectly. She made many beautiful pieces including an alter cloth for the Timpanogos Temple. If you visited her home you would never know she had the talent as only the unfinished article she was working on would be seen. However hundreds of homes display her beautiful work. She loved to give her work away to those she loved, and those who received it will treasure it forever. Her crocheting was truly a work of art. She made many quilts for her loved ones.Margaret's cooking was superb. She loved to tackle things that were very difficult, like jelly rolls, pulled taffy, (and hers was the best ever), kraut burgers, homemade ice cream and carrot pudding. Her daughters have all tried her recipes but all back down to letting her wear the crown of "Best Cook Ever".She loved company and you never left her home without something to take with you.She had a candy drawer for the children, and they all patiently waited until she told them to check it out. It was filled with things children love and they would stand with sparkling eyes and wonderment as they made their choices. This gave her great joy.Her home was a place where everyone loved to be. Everyone loved to go see "Grandma Foote".She loved her sweetheart. The two of them were inseparable. You rarely saw one without the other. Our greatest comfort is that they are together again.Margaret is survived by her children: Shirley (Richard) Cook of Orem, Utah; Audrey (Richard) Gumm of Las Vegas, Nevada; Carma (Robert) Johnson of Washington, Utah; Gary (Cindy) Foote of Castle Dale, Utah; and Carol (JD) Hellewell of Bountiful, Utah. She has 28 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Friday, August 4, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Sharon Park 3rd Ward Chapel, 225 East, 200 North, Orem.
