Bette R. Miller, 93, of Cheyenne died peacefully Oct. 28 at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born Dec. 7, 1921, in Loup City, Neb., to Bruno Larchick and Josephine (Lewandowski) Larchick.

She graduated from Loop City High School in 1938.

She married Gene Slater in 1945. They later divorced and she moved back to Cheyenne with her two sons. She married Jack O. Miller on Jan. 1, 1965.

Bette retired from Fowler's after a lengthy and enjoyable career as office manager/head bookkeeper.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Holy Trinity Council of Catholic Women, B.P.O.E. Does, American Legion Aux. and Beta Sigma Phi Chapter.

Bette enjoyed gardening, cooking/baking, sewing and crafts; but most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her sons, James Slater and Donald Slater, both of Cheyenne; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her brother, David Larchick of Basin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack O. Miller; brothers, Steve and Edwin Larchick; and sisters, Helen Larchick, Evelyn Atwood and Estelle Hauck.
