Samuel L. Woods, age 79, of Morris passed away peacefully, joining his beloved wife and the Lord, on Sunday (Nov. 1, 2015).

He was born June 2, 1936 in West Chester, Pennsylvania, the son of Herbert T. and Lottie E. (Walton) Woods. He married Delores Harris on Sept. 2, 1961 in Monticello. They relocated to Morris in 1964. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores "Lolo" Woods on Aug. 2, 2010; his parents and his brothers, Jim, Jack, Marty, Leroy, William and Daniel.

He is survived by his sister, Lillian King and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He lived in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania until he was 17. Sam joined the Air Force in February 1954. He completed his basic training in Samson, N.Y., in May 1954, after which he was stationed in Paris, France, and then the Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, where he was an automotive instructor until he was honorably discharged in April 1963.

Sam was a member of Living Water Church of the Nazarene.
