Monday, November 17, 1952, Idaho State Journal from Pocatello, Idaho, page 10. Obituary: Mrs, Lula Jane Johnston, 73, of the Marion Hotel, died Friday at the hotel. She was born May 16, 1879, in Lewiston, Utah, a daughter of William A. and Susan Zimmerman Terry. She moved with her parents to Richmond, Utah, as a baby. She received her schooling in Logan. She was married to Arthur Johnston at Yakima, Wash., in 1911. He died in May, 1948. The couple operated a farm at the present site of Fort Lewis, Wash., then moved to Alaska and operated a commercial fishing business and other businesses there. They returned to Anacortes, Wash., in 1916?. She came to Pocatello in March, 1950. and bought the Marion Hotel.
She is survived by two brothers, Will Z. Terry of Ogden and George A. Terry of Pocatello. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Hall-Grant Mortuary with Bishop Leland Pack of the First LDS ward in charge. Burial will be in Logan.
