Youngest child of Wilson and Sophie (nee Armstrong) Argue. His parents both died before he was two. Christie and his six siblings were taken in and raised by various aunts and uncles. George and Sarah Jane Argue of North Gower Ontario raised Christie and his oldest brother William Francis. In the early 1900s, Christie left to work in the United States. He married Cora Ellen Pfouts and they had a family of seven daughters and three sons. They lived mostly in the McKean County area of Pennsylvania where Christie worked in the oilfields. Cora died in 1929.
