Frankie “Cotton” Collins, born into this world August 7, 1931. With the hope he received on the day he was saved, he used it when he took his last breath on March 8, 2021. He was a small man in stature, but had a big heart. Cotton was a friend to anyone that knew him. He was a member of Central View American Christian Church and lifetime member of the Odd Fellows.

Cotton was greeted on the other side by his first wife, Betty Nicley Collins; son, Larry Wayne; mother and father, Sarah and Frank Collins; brothers, J. C., R. B. and Jimmy Collins; sisters, Lena Collins (infant), Ommo Whitener, Francis Stephens and Edith Beeler. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Minnie Collins; son, Roger (Tammy) Collins; stepchildren, Max (Melissa) Ritter, and Karen (Keith) Fox all of Washburn; grandchildren, Amanda (Brad) Boles of Knoxville, Brian (Angie) Collins of Washburn; step grandchildren, Brandon (Kensey) Fox of Rutledge, Jake (Alicia) Fox of Jacksboro, Tyler Fox of Maynardville, Anthony Ritter, Aaron (Michaela) Ritter and Alicia (Matthew) McGinnis all of Washburn; several great and step great grandchildren; and sister, Billie Faye Wolfenbarger of Washburn. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. John Ackers and staff at University Cardiology, you were sent from God; U T Medical Center Hospice and Lori; U T Hospice of Morristown, nurses Brooke and Charles; Randy (Dawn) Epperson, whom he referred to as his third son, Linda Southerland and Jeanie Beeler.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel with the family arriving at 5:00 p.m. The funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Jerry Epperson and Reverend Dallas Harrell officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to Frank Collins Cemetery, Washburn for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service.
