Funeral service for Cynthia Seritha "Sue" Russell, 70, will be Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Stevenson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Russell died on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born August 30, 1945, in Etowah County to Lewis Berry and Jessie Gladden Berry. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband: John Russell and her parents.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Hicks of Decatur; a son, David Russell of Hartselle; a daughter, Cynthia Hicks of Decatur; three brothers, Dennis Berry of Decatur, Ed Berry of Moulton and Jerry Berry of Decatur; four sisters, Betty Hudgins, Ella Berry, Edna Hayes and Darlene Dutton, all of Decatur; seven grandchildren, Chassity Russell, Quinton Russell, Dustin Russell, Denise Logan, Logan Russell, DeAnna Russell, Devin Russell and Dylan Russell; two great-grandchildren, Lauren Langford and Seraine Logan.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
