Mrs. Edna Coley McLemore, 92, of 674 McLemore Road, passed away on Monday, November 2nd at her home.

A Funeral Service to remember Mrs. McLemore and her life will be held on Friday, November 6th at 2:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor John Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Born in 1923 in Sampson County, Mrs. McLemore was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Mary Jones Coley. She was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the WMU and a Preschool Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Concord Home Extension Club, a homemaker and a former employee with Roseboro Manufacturing Co.. Mrs. Edna also enjoyed being a part of the Quilting Club and had friends in the community who loved her dearly. She was the widow of Edgbert R. McLemore, Sr..

Mrs. McLemore is survived by her two daughters: Kaye M. Honeycutt & husband, Sim of Fuquay Varina; Denise M. Griffin & husband, Vick of Wilmington; her son, Edgbert Ray McLemore, Jr. & wife, Teresa of Dunn; four sisters; Rachel Daniel of Wilmington, Hilda Lindsay of Clinton, Janet Cottle of Goldsboro, Fay Jackson of Clinton; one brother: James Coley of Faison; five grandchildren: Susan Wood & husband, Jonathan; Dennis McLemore & wife, Pam; Harris Honeycutt & wife, Kathleen; and Alison & Patrick Griffin; seven great-grandchildren: Jack, Max & Luke Honeycutt, Peyton & Brayden Wood and Skylar & Tanner McLemore; and special friends: Sandra Spell & Bishaun McNeil.

She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Honeycutt.
