Wife Of Poet Passes Away Here

    Mrs. Thomas Pugh, 25 Hillside street, city, died at her home at 10:10 last night after being ill for several weeks. Mrs. Pugh was well and favorably known throughout the city where she resided on the Heights section her entire life. She was an active member of the Meade Street Baptist Church and was interested in all church and religious activities. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Pugh, one brother, Gwilym Hughes, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Rose and Mrs. Thomas Morris and several nieces and nephews. She was 53 years of age.
    Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 o'clock at the home and at the Meade Street Baptist Church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment at Hollenback Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Rev. James V. Lewis, assisted by Rev. Gomer Evans of the Parrish Street Baptist Church.
