Gertrude was the daughter of the late Jeremiah J Brady and Catherine (Farren) Brady. Maternal grandparents: Bernard W Farren and Catherine (McCaughey) Farren. Paternal grandparents: John W Brady and Julia (Crowley) Brady.
Gertrude was the loving wife of Joseph W McHugh for over 15 years until his death. She was a homemaker, and for several years was employed by Joseph C Bancroft & Sons.
She was the sister of Walter J Brady.
Gertrude had no children, but was survived by several nieces and nephews.
She died in Saint Francis Hospital, Wilmington, De. Her funeral Mass was held at Church of Saint Paul and burial at Cathedral Cemetery on 24 Apr 2004.
