Steven Arch Aiton passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 while camping in one of his favorite locations on the Columbia River Gorge. We are grateful to the hikers who found him peacefully lying in his sleeping bag.
He was born in Denver, Colorado on January 20th, 1957 to Donald and Gwendolyn. He grew up in the mountains near Pine, CO, lived in Bakersfield, CA for many years and spent the last 24 years near Vancouver, WA where he loved to camp, play racquetball, play volleyball and golf. After serving in the Army, Steve continued working in the technical field for Bank of America, Nike and OnSemiconductor.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Gwendolyn; three brothers, Donald, Wayne and Noel; his niece Gretchen and his nephew Marcus.
Steve is survived by his wife, Rochelle; his children, Ellie, Mia and Josiah; his grandson, Timothy; his siblings; Barbara Jean, Phyllis, Marge and Bruce; their spouses, children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 31st, 12:00 noon at Evergreen Bible Church (9600 E Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA).
