MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Bonnie J. Porter, 90, of Madisonville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, Ky.

Mrs. Porter was born May 21, 1925, in Portageville, Mo., to the late Jase Britton Fisher and Carrie Thompson Fisher.

Bonnie was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church in Madisonville.

She is survived by six daughters, Carolyn (Richard) Fogelsong, of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; Kathryn (Reggie) Simons, of Slaughters, Ky.; Leah (Steve) Winn, of Mayfield, Ky.; Tina Adams, of Richmond, Ky.; Jane (Dan) Higgins, of Tulsa, Okla.; and Beth (Gustavo) Turmero, of Madisonville; two sisters, Mae Huntley and Philine Baker, of Blytheville, Ark.; 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Elbert Porter, in 1996, and three brothers; Harry, J.B., and Newt Fisher.

Funeral services will be held privately. Burial will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
