He was first involved in the theater, acting in more than 1000 productions before being given his first opportunity in film in the movie "Avunu Valliddaru Ishtapaddaru" in 2002 where he is most remembered. Rao later appeared in such films as "Sudigaadu" (2012), "Donga Ramudu & Party" (2003) and "Sainikudu" (2006) and became a major star in "Tollywood". He received several awards for his performances through the years and his comedic talent will always be remembered.
