Died: November 02, 2015

Eugene “Gene” McGenis Fuller, 85 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Monday, November 02, 2015 at his home. Born August 12, 1930 in Tazewell County, VA, he was the son of the late Abram and Elizabeth Hall Fuller. He had served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Fuller had retired from Leatherwood Company with over 30 years of service and he also worked for Aramark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Anna Mae Angles Fuller; brothers: Abram Vernon Fuller and Claude Melvin Fuller; grandson: Cleve Stuckey; nephew: Josh Fuller. Of all the great leaders we’ve had, not one will ever begin to compare with the example we’ve had in our Dad! He was our leader, our pattern for life and on him we could always depend.
He will be lovingly and affectionately remembered by daughters: Eugenia Stump and companion, Roger Proffitt of Bluefield, WV, Shelia Johns and husband, Terry of North Tazewell, VA; granddaughters: Crystal Gayle Salyers of Winter Haven, Florida, Elizabeth Ann Stiltner and husband, Leon of Thompson Valley, VA; great-grandchildren: Autumn Streeby (Angel), Kerry Mae Stiltner (Rosebud); great great-granddaughter: Julie Bradley (Jewels); brother: Edward Fuller and wife, Barbara of Springville, VA; Special caregivers: Teresa Waddle, Gail Vencil, Shirley Self and the Staff of Legacy Hospice.
A service to celebrate Mr. Fuller’s life will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev Robert Buckles and Chaplain Matthew Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens where Military grave side rites will be conducted by the VFW Post #9696 and the Pocahontas American Legion #14.
