Pauline Swanson, age 98 of Douglasville, GA, passed away, Monday, November 2, 2015. She was born February 10, 1917 in Paulding County, GA to the late Will Gazaway and Jessie Lawler Gazaway. She worked in retail sales for Otasco and was the first sales lady in the history of the company. She was Baptist by faith.
Survivors are her daughter: Barbara Butler of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter: Stephanie Meeks and her husband, Myron; great grandchildren: Daysha Mitchell and her husband, Jason, Johnathon Bevens; great-great granddaughter: Dezerea Mitchell; brother: Bobby and his wife, Joan Gazaway, of Stockbridge, GA and Leonard Gazaway, of Douglasville, GA, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Goad; husband, Elmer L. Swanson; brother: Roy Gazaway; sisters: Helen Vase and Ruth Riggs.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Marbut and Bobby Gazaway officiating. Interment will follow in the Paulding Memorial Gardens.
Hightower’s Memorial Chapel, Douglasville, has charge of the arrangements.
