John Leo Crochet, Sr., 94, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Lake Arthur Place in Port Arthur.
John was born May 13, 1921 in John Leo Crochet, Sr., 94, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Lake Arthur Place in Port Arthur.
John was born May 13, 1921 in Houma, Louisiana to Elmer Crochet and Elizabeth Walker Crochet. He was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and retired from Texaco as an operator after 40 years of service. He was a former Second District Commander for the American Legion. He was a veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II and Korea.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Gloria Crochet and his daughter, Patsy Crochet Davis.
Survivors include his daughter, Jonell James of Nederland; son, John L. Crochet, Jr. and his wife Carol of Nederland; brother, Russell Crochet and his wife Cassi of Nacogdoches; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
