Death Date for Benjamin Allen, born 1673 vs. Benjamin Allen, born 1693

BE AWARE!

Several ancestry.com public member trees have Benjamin Allen, born 1673 (son of Edward Allen, Sr.) mixed up with his nephew, Benjamin Allen, born 1693 (son of John Allen). A Benjamin Allen died on 23 Feb 1741/1742, in Suffield County, Connecticut, Findagrave Memorial #154525250, but this death date has been given to both Benjamin's on several public member trees. The photo of the headstone is difficult (impossible) to read from the photograph (which is sideways), but the memorial is for the younger Benjamin. A now defunct Findagrave Memorial (#80737591) was for the elder Benjamin, but it had the same death date, and an "Unknown" burial location. However unlikely, they may have actually died on the exact same date, but I have not discovered sufficient documentation to prove this.
