Michael A. Toney, 52, of Hardy, Va., passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Mr. Toney taught auto body collision repair at Salem High School. He was a very selfless man who enjoyed helping people. He loved hunting, restoring toy cars, and collecting guns, but he especially loved restoring antique cars. He was very witty and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Lynn Toney; daughters, Erica Lynn Toney, and Michaela Erin Toney; parents, Larry and Veda Toney; brother, Dean Toney; sister, Melissa Toney; brother, Allen Toney; nieces and nephews; great nieces and great-nephews; and many special friends and students.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at the funeral home. Vintage and show car owners are encouraged to bring their cars to the service in honor of Mike.
