Charles Van Kleeck, 79, died this morning at the home of his son, George Van Kleeck, Somers, Conn.

Mr. Van Kleeck was born at Olive, N.Y., March 30, 1875, son of William and Jane Silkworth Van Kleeck, and had lived in Somers 30 years. Until he retired five years ago, he was employed at the Saxony Mill in Rockville, Conn., as a spinning overseer.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Scott Van Kleeck; two sons, Charles Jr., and George Van Kleeck, Somers; two daughters, Mrs. John Pollard, Amsterdam, and Mrs. Joseph Zinker, Rockville, Conn.; two brothers, James Van Kleeck, Hagaman, and Arthur Van Kleeck, Cornwall; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Herberts funeral home, 55 Main St., Hazardville, Conn. Interment will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield, Mass.

Somers, Conn., Aug. 16 - Funeral of Charles Van Kleeck, Sr., of West Main St. will take place at the Herbert funeral home in Hazardville Tuesday at 2 with Rev. Allison Ray Heaps officiaing. Burial will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield.

Mr. Van Kleeck who was 79, was born in Olive, N.Y., and had lived in this town 31 years.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Scott Van Kleeck; two daughters, Mrs. John Pollard of Amsterdam, N. Y. and Mrs. Joseph Zinker of Rockville; two sons, George and Charles, both of Somers; two brothers, Arthur of Cornwall, N. Y. and James of Hagaman, N. Y.; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The funeral of Charles Van Kleeck Sr., of West Main St. Somers, was held at Herberts funeral home, Hazardville, Tuesday afternoon. Dr. Allison Ray Heaps, pastor of Somers Congregational Church, officiated. Bearers were Raymond Buck, Sr., Raymond Buck, Jr., Joseph Zinker, Joseph Blizniak, James Bergen and Whitlack Davis. Burial was in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield.
