Funeral services were conducted at the First Lutheran church, of Rugby, on Saturday, March 2, 1957 at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Erling Aarthun officiating.
Mrs. Erling Aarthus sang, "Just As I Am" and " I Lift My Heart To Thee". Organist was Mrs. Leonard Sessing.
Pallbearers were four sons, Olaf, Bennie, Thor, and Ingmar Sollin; Harry Cline and Harold Paulson. Interment was in the family plot at Parsilla Watts Cemetery.
The former Margaret Caroline Grebe was born Oct. 20, 1883, at Clifford, Ont. Can., the daughter of Mathew Grebe and Barbara Gischler Grebe. She lived there until 1894 when the family moved to Rugby. In 1901 she was united in marriage to Thorvald Sollin at Rugby. The homesteaded about seven miles south of here where they farmed until 1940 when they moved to Rugby. After her husband passed away in 1950, she resided with her son, Thor, at Minnewaukan.
An infant son also preceded her in death.
Seven children survive, Mrs. Elmer (Anna) Bonnell of Rugby; Mrs. Harold (Esther) Paulson of Jamestown; Mrs. Salvatore (Geneva) Tillona of Windsor, Conn.; Olafand Bennie of Wolford; Thor of Minnewaukan, and Ingmar of Chicago, Ill. Nineteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Katie Cline of Dabob, Washington, also survive. Her parents, three sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
