She was preceded in death by her parents Sylvester Samuel and Julia Hall Bretz of Wilkes-Barre, PA, her husband William Penn Lloyd III of Wilkes-Barre, PA, her sister Marianne May, and her brother Peter Bretz, and grandson William Penn Lloyd IV. She is survived by her son Hugh Lloyd (Colleen) of Nashville, TN and her daughter Julie Harris (Greg) of Birmingham, AL and 3 grandchildren. Betsy was a resident of Mt. Royal Towers in Birmingham, AL. She was born in Glen Ridge, NJ and graduated from Kingston High School and Wilkes College. A private family Celebration of Life will be held to honor Betsy.
