Michael J. Dunham, 63, of Stanley Road, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his home.
Michael was born on February 16, 1952 in Sanford the son of James F. and Madeline Y. (Daigle) Dunham.
Michael grew up in Sanford and graduated from Sanford High School, Class of 1971. Michael had a long and successful career working as a Rigger at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring following 34 years of dedicated service.
Michael was a member of the Lafayette and Wolves Club and enjoyed meeting his friends at the American Legion, all in Sanford.
Michael was a kind and gentle soul who left us too soon and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is lovingly survived by his longtime companion, Debra Collins of Springvale; her children, Jessica Collins and fiancé Jeff Exberg of Nashua, NH and Ian Collins and wife Jennifer and their daughter, June of Buffalo, MN; his three cousins, Tom Barraclough and wife Marie of Acton; Jane Fortier and husband Dave of Sanford and Peter Dunham and wife Donna of Sanford.
At Mr. Dunham’s request, there will be no formal services.
The Autumn Green Funeral Home, 47 Oak Street in Alfred, is respectfully handling arrangements.
