Tommy D. Willis, 50, Barron, Wis., passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015.

He was born to Tom and Judy (Garrison) Willis on Aug. 27, 1965, in Fresno, Calif. Tom was raised by his mother and stepfather, Ray Wilson.

Later, he married Darlene and had a son, Aaron Willis. The marriage ended in divorce.

On Jan. 22, 2000, Tom married Julie Johnson and was a father to her son, Thomas Barrett, and their daughter, Jasmine Willis.

Tom loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was like a father to many of his children’s friends. Everyone felt welcome in his presence and it is hard to find anyone who can’t find something nice to say when it comes to Tom.

He helped his family, neighbors, friends and church family whenever he could. He loved finding great deals at sales and thrift stores and enjoyed his “collections” of various things, especially sports cards and beanie babies.

He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Barron.

Surviving are his loving wife Julie; sons Aaron Willis of Stockton, Calif., and Thomas Barrett of Barron; a daughter Jasmine Willis of Barron; his father Tom Willis of California; stepfather Ray Wilson of West Virginia; two sisters; and three brothers.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother Judy.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Patrick Roper officiating and burial at Wayside Cemetery, Barron.

Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday from Rausch and Steel Funeral Chapel, Barron, and an hour prior to services at the church.
