Funeral service for Robert L Hammock, 84, will be Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Tim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL. Mr. Hammock died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Hammock and Estelle Vick, brother, Otis Hammock, Jr. and sister, Lois Faye Caton. Mr. Hammock was a Veteran of the Korean War. He loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joy F. Hammock; son, Robert Neal Hammock; daughters, Janice Thornton, husband Lucky and Monya Broom, husband Nathan; granddaughter, Brandy Prickett, husband Steven; grandsons, Adam Thornton, wife Casey and Zeke Whitworth; great-grandchildren, Dawson Thornton and Heavenly Thornton and sister, Edith Ethridge. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Steven Prickett, Dawson Thornton, Adam Thornton, Zeke Whitworth, Nathan Broom and Justin Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Hamilton and Johnny Ray Jennings.
