Son of Sigfried Faber who resided in the District Of Columbia.

Jerome served as a Torpedoman's Mate Third Class, U.S.S. Longshaw (DD-559), U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided in the District Of Columbia prior to the war.

Jerome was "Killed In Action" when the Longshaw was attacked and sunk off the shore of Okinawa near the city of Naha during the war. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

At the families request, his state of birth was added to his headstone (New York) instead of his place of residence (District Of Columbia).
