Jimmie Norene Ellis, 83, of Iron City, GA, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mylan Brookins officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellis was born November 12, 1931 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of Chester Whiddon and Nora Clark Whiddon. She was a homemaker and Methodist by faith.
Survivors include her husband of over 64 years Earl Ellis of Iron City; her daughter, Glenda E. Roberts of Iron City; granddaughters, Jada Gordon Davies and her husband Dr. Robert Davies of Jacksonville, FL, and Sable Roberts of Iron City and abroad; her great-grandchildren, Brantley Downing and Marcus Davies; and a sister, Agnes W. Barbee of
Grand Ridge, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Benton W. (Buddy) Roberts, Jr.; and her brothers, Glen Whiddon, Hayes Whiddon, Billy Ray Whiddon, and Chester Whiddon, Jr.
