Mary was born to parents Henry (Hinrich) Feldman and his wife Friedericka "Riga" Mayer in Arlington, Minnesota. In 1888 she married Julius W. Rathke. They had two children born in or near Flora Township, Renville County, Minnesota, although their little girl Freida is buried at the Arlington Public Cemetery in Sibley County, Minnesota near her paternal grandparents Charles and Justina Rathke with a headstone inscription that reads: Daughter of Rev. J.W. & M.S. Rathke. Son Clark survived and is buried in Washington State, see link below. Sometime around 1900 Rev. Rathke, wife Mary and son Clark E. Rathke settled into Spokane, Washington. It would appear that they migrated west about the same time as Mary's parents and Rev. Rathke's brother Charles Theodore Rathke, and his Kuck in-laws as all who were previously found on Minnestota census, are soon found living in the Spokane area per the next census years. Per research, Mary was widowed fairly early and then remarried Albert Witheril. They divorced and she then married Jacques John Jacob Wagoner (Wagner). Mr. Wagner was buried in St. John, Washington beside his first wife and Mary was buried beside her first husband Rev. Rathke. Proof of her burial was found online under Maggie Rails (Ewandia Rails) Cemetery indexes of burials for Greenwood Memorial Terrace in which she states the following: Wagner, Mary Rathke s/w Julius Rathke L-14.
